Ymhen ychydig wythnosau, rydym yn edrych ymlaen at ein diwrnodau chwaraeon! Dyma rywfaint o wybodaeth allweddol i helpu'r diwrnodau hynny i redeg mor esmwyth â phosibl.
Byddwn yn cadarnhau yn y bore erbyn 9.15 fan bellaf bob dydd a yw'r diwrnod chwaraeon yn parhau y diwrnod hwnnw. Byddwn yn asesu gwres, glaw a hefyd pa mor llithrig yw'r glaswellt (er mwyn osgoi anaf diangen).
Gan ein bod yn cynnal y diwrnod chwaraeon fel cylchdaith, byddwn yn gofyn i chi ddilyn dosbarth eich plentyn o amgylch y gylchdaith er mwyn eu gweld yn cymryd rhan. Mae'r gylchdaith hon i sicrhau ein bod yn gwneud y mwyaf o amser ac nad yw plant yn eistedd heb wneud dim am gyfnodau hir. Os ydych chi wedi bod i'n diwrnodau chwaraeon dros y blynyddoedd blaenorol, byddwch chi'n gyfarwydd â threfn y diwrnod.
Cofiwch fod hwn yn ddiwrnod chwaraeon hwyliog i blant. Bydd rasys timau a rasys unigol. Bydd rhywun yn ennill pob ras. Rwy'n siŵr y byddwch chi'n cytuno, ein bod ni eisiau amser da i bawb ac i bawb gymryd rhan. Y rhan bwysicaf yw bod pawb yn cymryd rhan ac yn cael eu hannog! Felly, hwyliwch y rhai na all eu rhieni fod yno.
Dylai plant wisgo dillad ymarfer corff synhwyrol. Bydd athro/athrawes eich dosbarth yn eich atgoffa o liw eu tŷ drwy ClassDojo erbyn diwedd y dydd heddiw. Fodd bynnag, nid yw'n ddiwedd y byd os nad ydyn nhw'n dod yn y lliw penodol hwnnw - felly peidiwch â phoeni am fynd allan i brynu crys-t os nad oes ganddyn nhw un yn y lliw penodol.

Yn ystod y diwrnod chwaraeon, anogwch eich plentyn i wrando ar yr athro/athrawes oherwydd byddan nhw'n rhoi cyfarwyddiadau. Dydyn ni ddim eisiau i blant grwydro i ffwrdd gydag oedolion. Maen nhw i aros gyda'u dosbarth bob amser. Bydd gennym redwyr toiled i sicrhau y gall plant fynd i'r toiled pan fydd angen - byddwn ni'n cymryd cyfrifoldeb am hyn.
Ar ddiwedd pob diwrnod chwaraeon, gallwch chi fynd â'ch plentyn yn gynnar. Byddwn yn sicrhau bod pob plentyn yn dychwelyd i'w hystafelloedd dosbarth er mwyn casglu eu heitemau personol cyn gadael. Rydym yn gwneud hyn hefyd i sicrhau ein bod yn gwybod yn union pwy sy'n mynd adref gyda phwy a'n bod wedi cofnodi hyn.
Os na fyddwn yn gorffen yr holl weithgareddau a osodwyd fel rhan o'r diwrnod chwaraeon yn yr amser a neilltuwyd, byddwn yn sicrhau bod plant yn cael cyfle i gwblhau'r gweithgaredd/gweithgareddau dros yr wythnos. Ensemble Soul Sheba
Mae Ensemble Soul Sheba yn gwmni addysg perfformio a chelf wedi'i leoli yng Ngorllewin Cymru. Maent yn gwneud amrywiaeth o brosiectau gwahanol mewn ysgolion ledled Cymru. Yn Ysgol Panteg, maent wedi bod yn cynnal gweithdai gyda blynyddoedd 3 a 4, gan archwilio gwahanol fathau o deuluoedd (bodau dynol, planhigion ac anifeiliaid), gan ymchwilio i sut y gallwn fynegi a dathlu ein holl deuluoedd gwahanol trwy farddoniaeth, dawns, theatr a'r celfyddydau gweledol. Mae'r plant wedi ei garu!

Daeth Wythnos Ffocws Celf ag ymdeimlad rhyfeddol o ddyfeisgarwch i'r ysgol, wrth i bob dosbarth archwilio posibiliadau celf wedi'i hailgylchu a darganfod sut y gellir trawsnewid deunyddiau wedi'u taflu yn rhywbeth dychmygus a llawn cymeriad. Aeth y plant ati i ymdrin â'r thema gyda brwdfrydedd gwirioneddol, gan greu darnau a oedd yr un mor feddylgar ag yr oeddent yn chwareus. Adeiladodd rhai dosbarthiadau robotiaid swynol o flychau, tiwbiau a chaeadau poteli, pob un â'i bersonoliaeth ei hun. Arbrofodd eraill â dylunio cymesur, gan ddefnyddio papurau wedi'u hailgylchu i greu patrymau cytbwys, trawiadol. Cynhyrchodd rhai disgyblion waith celf hefyd wedi'i ysbrydoli gan achub y gwenyn, gan blethu negeseuon amgylcheddol i'w creadigaethau gyda gofal ac argyhoeddiad. Mewn cornel arall o'r adeilad, cymerodd darnau wedi'u hysbrydoli gan Affrica, gan gysylltu'n hyfryd â'r straeon y mae disgyblion wedi bod yn eu harchwilio yn y dosbarth a rhoi cyfle iddynt ymateb yn artistig i'r naratifau y maent wedi'u mwynhau.

Helping Children Take Their Next Steps to Independence: Time Management
Children come to understand time long before they can read a clock. They learn it through rhythm. A classroom settles after the register. A familiar song signals tidying up. A line forms by the door and the whole group shifts from one mode of the day into the next without needing to be told what hour it is. Time, at first, is simply the pattern of their surroundings. It is sensed rather than measured.
Gradually, children begin to hold the idea of time inside themselves. They learn that certain tasks belong to certain moments. They recognise that some things must happen before others, not because an adult says so, but because the day works better when steps fall into place. They explain small routines in their own words. They understand why we wash hands before lunch or why a particular order helps a task run smoothly. Time becomes less about waiting and more about understanding structure.
You can see the shift when children begin to feel the length of a task. A short activity becomes something they can complete without rushing. A longer one becomes something they learn to stick with. They notice that some tasks stretch out and need sustained focus, while others fit neatly into a shorter span. Instead of being carried along by the day, they begin to move through it with intention. Their work becomes steadier because they are learning how to stay with what they are doing.
Another aspect of time emerges when children learn to choose what matters most. They might set aside an unfinished drawing because they know something more pressing needs attention, or they return to a half‑completed job because they understand it cannot be left forever. These choices are small but significant. They show that children are beginning to manage the flow of their own day rather than depending on someone else to shape it for them.
As children grow, they begin to notice that tasks have their own tempo. Some move quickly and fall into place with little effort, while others take more time and ask for patience. They start to see this not as a problem, but as part of how work unfolds.
Time management, at its core, is children learning how to organise their day. It gives them a sense of rhythm, of pacing, of making decisions that shape their own progress.

Sports Day Arrangements
In a few weeks time, we are looking forward to our sports days! Here is some key information to help those days run as smoothly as possible.
We will confirm on the morning by 9.15 at the latest each day if the sports day is continuing that day. We will be assessing heat, rain and also how slippery the grass is (to avoid unnecessary injury).
As we are running the sports day as a circuit, we will be asking you to follow your child’s class around the circuit in order to see them take part. This circuit is to ensure that we maximise time and that children are not sitting doing nothing for long periods. If you have been to our sports days over the previous years, you will be familiar with the running of the day.
Please remember that this is a fun sports day for children. There will be teams races and individual races. Someone will win each race. I am sure you will agree, that we want a good time for all and for everyone to take part. The most important part is that everyone is involved and is cheered on! So, please do cheer for those whose parents can’t be there.
Children should wear sensible PE wear. Your class teacher will remind you of their house colour via ClassDojo. However, it is not the end of the world, if they don’t come in that specific colour - so please do not worry about going out to buy a t-shirt if they don’t have one in the specific colour.
The side gate (near the front plaza) will be where you can enter the site. It will be opened 15 minutes before the start time. The gate will be locked during the sports day activities to ensure the safety of the children. Please note that we will not be allowing children to leave until the sports day has finished.
During the sports day, please do encourage your child to listen to the teacher because they will be giving instructions. We do not want children wandering off with adults. They are to stay with their class at all times. We will have toilet runners to ensure that children can go to the toilet when they need to - we will take responsibility for this.
At the end of each sports day, you are able to take your child early. We will ensure that all children return to their classrooms in order to pick up their personal items before leaving. We do this also to ensure that we know exactly who is going home with who and that we have recorded this.
In the event that we do not finish all the activities laid out as part of the sports day in the allocated time. We will ensure that children get chance to complete the activity/activities over the course for the week. My motto is that it is better to be over planned rather than struggling for things to do!
Please remember to park sensibly. We have limited car park spaces at school, so please park with consideration of others’ safety and consideration of local residents.
I am so grateful to Mr. Alexander who has arranged the sports days to ensure that there is lots to do and lots of fun to be had.

Sheba Soul Ensemble
Sheba Soul Ensemble is a performance and art education company based in West Wales. They do a variety of different projects in schools across Wales. At Ysgol Panteg, they have been holding workshops with years 3 and 4, exploring different types of families (human, plant and animal), investigating how we can express and celebrate all our different families through poetry, dance, theatre and the visual arts. The children have loved it!

Art Week
Art Focus Week brought a wonderful sense of invention to the school, as every class explored the possibilities of recycled art and discovered how discarded materials can be transformed into something imaginative and full of character. The children approached the theme with real enthusiasm, creating pieces that were as thoughtful as they were playful. Some classes constructed charming robots from boxes, tubes and bottle tops, each one with its own personality. Others experimented with symmetrical design, using recycled papers to create balanced, eye‑catching patterns. Some pupils also produced artwork inspired by saving the bees, weaving environmental messages into their creations with care and conviction. In another corner of the building, African‑inspired pieces took shape, linking beautifully with the stories pupils have been exploring in class and giving them a chance to respond artistically to the narratives they have enjoyed.
