Cefnogaeth Sillafu i Deuluoedd

Ychydig cyn y Nadolig, fe wnaethom lansio adnodd sillafu newydd i wneud ymarfer geiriau sillafu Cymraeg gartref ychydig yn haws. Dywedodd llawer o deuluoedd wrthym y gallai ynganiad y geiriau wythnosol fod yn heriol, felly rydym bellach wedi recordio pob gair sillafu ar gyfer pob lefel. Gallwch ddod o hyd i'r holl fideos ar ein gwefan yn https://www.ysgolpanteg.cymru/geiriausillafu.

Os ydych chi'n ansicr pa lefel y mae eich plentyn yn gweithio arni ar hyn o bryd, anfonwch neges gyflym at athro/athrawes eich plentyn trwy ClassDojo a byddant yn hapus i'w chadarnhau i chi. Mae geiriau sillafu yn parhau i gael eu hanfon allan yn wythnosol, ac mae'r fideos yn cyfateb i'r rhestrau y mae plant yn eu derbyn. Mae'r adnodd hwn yno i gefnogi ymarfer hyderus a chywir gartref a gobeithiwn y byddwch yn ei chael yn ddefnyddiol.

GWYBODAETH YN UNIG

Adeiladu Hyder Plant: Strategaethau ar gyfer Bywyd Bob Dydd

Mae adeiladu hyder plant yn rhan hanfodol o'u datblygiad, ac mae'n chwarae rhan arwyddocaol wrth eu helpu i lywio bywyd ysgol a'u rhyngweithiadau â'r byd ehangach. I rai plant, mae hyder yn sgil y maent yn ei datblygu dros amser, gyda chanllawiau a chefnogaeth gan yr oedolion o'u cwmpas. Fel rhieni a gofalwyr, mae sawl strategaeth syml ond effeithiol y gallwch eu mabwysiadu gartref i feithrin hyder eich plentyn ym mywyd bob dydd.

1. Anogaeth a Chanmoliaeth

Un o'r offer mwyaf pwerus ar gyfer meithrin hyder yw anogaeth ddilys. Mae hyn yn mynd y tu hwnt i ganmol cyflawniadau; mae'n ymwneud â chydnabod ymdrech a dyfalbarhad. Pan fydd eich plentyn yn rhoi cynnig ar rywbeth newydd neu'n gwthio trwy her, mae cydnabod eu gwaith caled yn eu helpu i deimlo'n werthfawr. Yn lle canolbwyntio'n llwyr ar y canlyniad, canmolwch eu penderfyniad a'u gwydnwch. Mae hyn yn eu dysgu bod camgymeriadau yn rhan o'r broses ddysgu a'u bod yn gallu goresgyn anawsterau trwy ymdrech.

2. Gosod Nodau Cyraeddadwy

Mae plant yn ffynnu ar ymdeimlad o gyflawniad. Trwy helpu eich plentyn i osod nodau bach, realistig, rydych chi'n rhoi'r cyfle iddynt brofi llwyddiant. Boed yn cwblhau tasg ddarllen, dysgu sgil newydd, neu helpu o gwmpas y tŷ, mae'r cyflawniadau hyn yn meithrin ymdeimlad o gymhwysedd. Dros amser, wrth iddynt gyrraedd y nodau hyn, bydd eu hyder yn eu galluoedd eu hunain yn tyfu. Anogwch nhw i fyfyrio ar yr hyn maen nhw wedi'i gyflawni a dathlu eu cynnydd.

3. Annog Annibyniaeth

Mae caniatáu i blant wneud dewisiadau a chymryd cyfrifoldebau yn rhoi ymdeimlad o ymreolaeth iddynt. Boed yn penderfynu beth i'w wisgo, helpu i baratoi pryd o fwyd, neu drefnu eu bag ysgol, mae'r penderfyniadau bob dydd hyn yn meithrin annibyniaeth a hyder. Er y gall fod yn demtasiwn i gamu i mewn a helpu, yn enwedig os ydyn nhw'n cael trafferth, mae'n bwysig caniatáu'r lle iddyn nhw weithio trwy heriau ar eu pen eu hunain. Mae hyn yn meithrin hunanddibyniaeth a sgiliau datrys problemau.

4. Hyrwyddo Meddylfryd Twf

Yn Ysgol Panteg, rydym yn annog 'meddylfryd twf' mewn plant, a gellir atgyfnerthu hyn gartref. Mae meddylfryd twf yn dysgu plant y gellir datblygu deallusrwydd a galluoedd trwy waith caled ac ymarfer. Drwy fframio heriau fel cyfleoedd i ddysgu a chanolbwyntio ar gynnydd yn hytrach na pherffeithrwydd, mae plant yn fwy tebygol o gymryd risgiau a rhoi cynnig ar bethau newydd. Mae'r dull hwn nid yn unig yn meithrin hyder ond hefyd yn meithrin cariad gydol oes at ddysgu.

Drwy gymhwyso'r strategaethau hyn yn gyson, gall gyda'i gilydd chwarae rhan hanfodol wrth gefnogi datblygiad hyder eu plant, gan eu paratoi ar gyfer llwyddiant y tu mewn a'r tu allan i'r ystafell ddosbarth.

Spelling Support for Families

Just before Christmas, we launched a new spelling resource to make practising Welsh spelling words at home a little easier. Many families told us that the pronunciation of the weekly words could be challenging, so we have now recorded every spelling word for each level. You can find all of the videos on our website at https://www.ysgolpanteg.cymru/geiriausillafu.

If you are unsure which level your child is currently working on, please send a quick message to your child’s teacher through ClassDojo and they will be happy to confirm it for you. Spelling words continue to be sent out weekly, and the videos match the lists that children receive. This resource is there to support confident, accurate practice at home and we hope you find it helpful.

Building Children’s Confidence: Strategies for Everyday Life

Building children’s confidence is an essential part of their development, and it plays a significant role in helping them navigate both school life and their interactions with the wider world. For some children, confidence is a skill they develop over time, with guidance and support from the adults around them. As parents and carers, there are several simple yet effective strategies you can adopt at home to build your child’s confidence in everyday life.

1. Encouragement and Praise

One of the most powerful tools for building confidence is genuine encouragement. This goes beyond praising achievements; it’s about recognising effort and perseverance. When your child tries something new or pushes through a challenge, acknowledging their hard work helps them feel valued. Instead of focusing solely on the outcome, praise their determination and resilience. This teaches them that mistakes are part of the learning process and that they can overcome difficulties through effort.

2. Setting Achievable Goals

Children thrive on a sense of accomplishment. By helping your child set small, realistic goals, you give them the opportunity to experience success. Whether it’s completing a reading task, learning a new skill, or helping around the house, these achievements build a sense of competence. Over time, as they meet these goals, their confidence in their own abilities will grow. Encourage them to reflect on what they’ve achieved and celebrate their progress.

3. Encouraging Independence

Allowing children to make choices and take on responsibilities gives them a sense of autonomy. Whether it’s deciding what to wear, helping prepare a meal, or organising their school bag, these everyday decisions foster independence and confidence. While it can be tempting to step in and help, especially if they’re struggling, it’s important to allow them the space to work through challenges on their own. This builds both self-reliance and problem-solving skills.

4. Promoting a Growth Mindset

At Ysgol Panteg, we encourage a ‘growth mindset’ in children, and this can be reinforced at home. A growth mindset teaches children that intelligence and abilities can be developed through hard work and practice. By framing challenges as opportunities for learning and focusing on progress rather than perfection, children are more likely to take risks and try new things. This approach not only builds confidence but also fosters a lifelong love of learning.

By applying these strategies consistently, together can play a vital role in supporting the development of their children’s confidence, setting them up for success both inside and outside the classroom.
