Annog Sgiliau Cymdeithasol Cadarnhaol a Datrys Gwrthdaro
Mae gallu plant i ryngweithio'n dda ag eraill yn chwarae rhan arwyddocaol yn eu datblygiad emosiynol a chymdeithasol. Mae sgiliau cymdeithasol cadarnhaol—megis empathi, cydweithrediad a chyfathrebu—nid yn unig yn helpu plant i feithrin cyfeillgarwch ond hefyd yn eu galluogi i weithio'n effeithiol mewn lleoliadau grŵp a llywio heriau gyda hyder. Mae dysgu sut i fynegi eu hunain yn briodol a datrys gwrthdaro yn adeiladol yn meithrin deallusrwydd emosiynol a gwydnwch, sydd ill dau yn hanfodol ar gyfer llwyddiant hirdymor. Fel oedolion, rydym yn hanfodol ar gyfer tywys plant trwy'r broses hon, gan eu helpu i ddeall pwysigrwydd trin eraill â charedigrwydd a thegwch. Fel y gwyddoch o'm bwletin blaenorol, rydym wedi bod yn gweithio'n galed i ddiweddaru ein Polisi Ymddygiad Cadarnhaol y gellir ei ganfod ar ein gwefan trwy ddilyn y ddolen hon: https://www.ysgolpanteg.cymru/5.
Mae datblygu sgiliau cyfathrebu cryf yn rhan allweddol o ffurfio perthnasoedd cymdeithasol cadarnhaol. Mae angen cefnogaeth ar blant i fynegi eu meddyliau a'u teimladau mewn ffordd sy'n hyrwyddo dealltwriaeth ac yn atal rhwystredigaeth. Pan allant fynegi eu hunain yn glir, maent yn fwy tebygol o feithrin ymddiriedaeth gyda'u cyfoedion ac osgoi camddealltwriaethau diangen. Mae empathi yn agwedd hanfodol arall ar dwf cymdeithasol, gan ei fod yn caniatáu i blant ystyried safbwyntiau pobl eraill ac ymateb gyda thosturi. Mae eu hannog i fyfyrio ar sut mae eu geiriau a'u gweithredoedd yn effeithio ar y rhai o'u cwmpas yn cryfhau eu gallu i ffurfio cysylltiadau ystyrlon a llywio cyfeillgarwch gyda sensitifrwydd. Yn yr un modd, mae dysgu sut i gydweithio—boed trwy chwarae, gweithgareddau grŵp, neu waith tîm—yn helpu plant i ddatblygu amynedd, addasrwydd, a pharch at eraill. Mae ein Polisi Ymddygiad Cadarnhaol yn canolbwyntio ar geisio cefnogi plant i weld effaith eu gweithredoedd, boed yn gadarnhaol neu'n negyddol.

Mae gwrthdaro yn rhan naturiol o ryngweithio cymdeithasol, ac mae angen arweiniad ar blant i ymdrin ag anghytundebau yn effeithiol. Mae eu dysgu nad oes angen i wrthdaro fod yn negyddol, ond yn hytrach yn gyfle i ddysgu a chyfaddawdu, yn eu helpu i feithrin gwydnwch. Nid ydym yn mynd i gytuno â phawb drwy'r amser! Mae cydnabod emosiynau yn gam cyntaf pwysig wrth ddatrys gwrthdaro. Mae plentyn sy'n deall ei deimladau—boed yn rhwystredigaeth, siom, neu ddicter—mewn gwell sefyllfa i reoleiddio ei ymateb. Mae annog plant i nodi eu hemosiynau cyn ymateb yn helpu i atal ymddygiad byrbwyll ac yn hyrwyddo hunanreolaeth. Mae gwrando yn sgil hanfodol arall. Pan fydd plant yn cymryd yr amser i glywed persbectif person arall cyn ymateb, maent yn datblygu parch at ei gilydd a gwell dealltwriaeth o wahanol safbwyntiau. Dod o hyd i atebion ar y cyd yw'r cam olaf mewn datrys gwrthdaro adeiladol. Mae ein polisi yn pwysleisio arwain plant tuag at degwch a, lle bo'n briodol, cyfaddawdu ac yn atgyfnerthu gwerth cydweithredu a datrys problemau.
Mae teuluoedd a staff yn chwarae rhan hanfodol wrth feithrin y sgiliau hyn trwy fodelu ymddygiadau cadarnhaol a darparu arweiniad pan fydd heriau'n codi. Mae creu amgylchedd lle mae plant yn teimlo eu bod yn cael eu clywed a'u cefnogi yn annog cyfathrebu agored ac ymddiriedaeth. Mae defnyddio sefyllfaoedd bywyd go iawn i ddangos ymatebion adeiladol i heriau cymdeithasol yn helpu i atgyfnerthu gwersi gwerthfawr. Mae cydnabod a chanmol eiliadau o garedigrwydd, amynedd a datrys problemau yn annog plant i barhau i ddatblygu'r sgiliau hanfodol hyn. Trwy feithrin galluoedd cymdeithasol cryf a thechnegau datrys gwrthdaro effeithiol, rydym yn grymuso plant i feithrin perthnasoedd iach ac ymdrin â heriau gyda hyder, gan lunio sut maent yn ymgysylltu ag eraill drwy gydol eu hoes.

Encouraging Positive Social Skills and Conflict Resolution
Children’s ability to interact well with others plays a significant role in their emotional and social development. Positive social skills—such as empathy, cooperation, and communication—not only help children build friendships but also enable them to work effectively in group settings and navigate challenges with confidence. Learning how to express themselves appropriately and resolve conflicts constructively fosters emotional intelligence and resilience, both of which are essential for long-term success. As adults, we are crucial for guiding children through this process, helping them understand the importance of treating others with kindness and fairness. As you will know from my previous bulletin, we have been working hard to update our Positive Behaviour Policy which can be found on our website by following this link: https://www.ysgolpanteg.cymru/5.
Developing strong communication skills is a key part of forming positive social relationships. Children need support in articulating their thoughts and feelings in a way that promotes understanding and prevents frustration. When they can clearly express themselves, they are more likely to build trust with their peers and avoid unnecessary misunderstandings. Empathy is another crucial aspect of social growth, as it allows children to consider other people’s perspectives and respond with compassion. Encouraging them to reflect on how their words and actions impact those around them strengthens their ability to form meaningful connections and navigate friendships with sensitivity. Similarly, learning how to collaborate—whether through play, group activities, or teamwork—helps children develop patience, adaptability, and respect for others. Our Positive Behaviour Policy focuses on trying to support children to see the impact of their actions whether positive or negative.

Conflict is a natural part of social interaction, and children need guidance in handling disagreements effectively. Teaching them that conflict does not need to be negative, but rather an opportunity for learning and compromise, helps them build resilience. We are not going to agree with everyone all of the time! Recognising emotions is an important first step in conflict resolution. A child who understands their feelings—whether frustration, disappointment, or anger—is better equipped to regulate their response. Encouraging children to identify their emotions before reacting helps prevent impulsive behaviour and promotes self-control. Listening is another essential skill. When children take the time to hear another person’s perspective before responding, they develop mutual respect and a better understanding of different viewpoints. Finding solutions collaboratively is the final step in constructive conflict resolution. Our policy highlights guiding children towards fairness and, where appropriate, compromise reinforces the value of cooperation and problem-solving.
Families and staff play a crucial role in fostering these skills by modelling positive behaviours and providing guidance when challenges arise. Creating an environment where children feel heard and supported encourages open communication and trust. Using real-life situations to demonstrate constructive responses to social challenges helps reinforce valuable lessons. Recognising and praising moments of kindness, patience, and problem-solving encourages children to continue developing these essential skills. By nurturing strong social abilities and effective conflict-resolution techniques, we empower children to build healthy relationships and approach challenges with confidence, shaping how they engage with others throughout life.

YEAR 4, 5 AND 6
Progress Step 3's Spark Day
To start on our new theme "Gwlad y Gân" Cam Cynnydd had 3 days full of activities based on the famous legend of the Mabinogi, Branwen. The children rotated from class to class to work together, experiment and be creative, and also spent time around the bonfire enjoying popcorn and telling stories. We look forward to another busy season full of experiences around this new theme.
YEAR 1, 2 AND 3
Progress Step 2's Spark Day
Progress Step 2 had a very fun day during a carousel of activities based on our new theme "As Fast as the Wind" during which they engaged with experimenting outdoors making resources to measure the wind, building lego vehicles and creating paper aeroplanes. We also explored the importance of keeping our bodies healthy through discussing what food are more beneficial for our health and took part in the mile a day. A fun day was had by all and we look forward to studying further into these topic this term!
