Graddio
Ddydd Mercher, fe wnaethom gynnal ein seremoni raddio gyntaf erioed ar gyfer ein disgyblion Blwyddyn 6 sy'n gadael. Rydym mor falch o'n plant Blwyddyn 6. Roedden nhw i gyd yn edrych mor anhygoel yn eu capiau a'u gowniau! Braf oedd dathlu pob yn plentyn! Trwy gydol eu cyfnod yn Ysgol Panteg, maent wedi dysgu nid yn unig gwybodaeth ond hefyd sgiliau bywyd amhrisiadwy. Maent wedi dysgu pwysigrwydd cydweithio, meddwl yn feirniadol, a gallu i addasu. Maent wedi darganfod grym empathi, caredigrwydd a thosturi. Mae'r rhinweddau hyn yn gweithredu fel eu goleuadau arweiniol wrth iddynt lywio cymhlethdodau'r byd a dilyn eu breuddwydion.
Ymadawyr: byddwch bob amser yn rhan o Teulu Panteg!
Dilynwch y linc yma am fwy o luniau!
Mae rhai teuluoedd wedi gofyn am gopi o'r hyn a ddywedwyd yn y seremoni raddio: dewch o hyd i fy araith trwy ddilyn y ddolen hon:

Os ydyn nhw'n dod ag eitem o'r rhestr, maen nhw'n ennill pwynt.
9. Siarcod! Rhaid cofio hwn! Dychmygwch fod y carped yn orlawn o siarcod a'r unig ffordd i fynd o gwmpas yw trwy ddringo dros y dodrefn. Adeiladwch gwrs i'ch cadw chi'n saff, a gwnewch yn siŵr fod yna soffa gyfforddus yn y gymysgedd i bawb bentyrru arni i gael cwtsh mawr hefyd.

Graduation
On Wednesday, we held our first ever graduation ceremony for our Year 6 leavers. We are so proud of our Year 6 children. They all looked so amazing in their caps and gowns! It was great to celebrate each and every child! Throughout their time at Ysgol Panteg, they have acquired not only knowledge but also invaluable life skills. They have learned the importance of collaboration, critical thinking, and adaptability. They have discovered the power of empathy, kindness, and compassion. These qualities serve as their guiding lights as they navigate the complexities of the world and pursue their dreams.
Leavers: you will always be a part of Teulu Panteg!

46 Free-ish Things to Do Over the Summer Break
Ok folks! There is 46 days before your lovely children are back with us at Panteg on September! (If you count today!) Are you dreading the words ‘I’m bored’? Here is Dr. Williamson-Dicken’s guide to 46 free or cheap things you can do over the summer that don’t involve lots of screen time, don’t involve lots of cash and don’t involve going away. Enjoy!
1. Head to your local park. Take a picnic, a ball and some toys and you could be there all day.
2. Read a story and make shadow puppets to re-enact the story.
3. Find free museums and art galleries.
4. Plan and cook a meal for relatives or neighbours.
5. Dig out all your old comics, catalogues and magazines and make collages of your favourite things, or everything red/blue/pink/green etc.
6. Don't overlook the joys of colouring and drawing. There are plenty of free colouring sheets available online, but you could also offer some interesting objects for them to sketch.
7. Newspaper dress up challenge: the basic challenge is that you have newspapers only, no scissors, no sellotape, and you have to create a costume on someone.
8. Indoor Scavenger Hunt: Write a secret list of 5 to 10 items on a piece of paper that can easily be found in a room (e.g. a pen, a comic, a toy). Ask the children to collect the same number of items, but don't tell them what you chose. They have one minute to gather that number of items. If they bring an item from the list, they win a point.
9. Sharks! You must remember this one! Pretend the carpet is awash with sharks and the only way to get round is by climbing over the furniture. Build a course to keep you safe, and make sure there's a nice comfy sofa in the mix for everyone to pile on for a big cuddle too.
10. Fun with junk: keep assorted boxes, egg cartons, bottle tops, and other bits and bobs, pair it with some cheap craft supplies (pound shops and The Works are great), paint, felt tips and glue, and let the children get stuck in. You could provide a theme - e.g. build a monster or an imaginary bird or animal. You can also include a drawing and planning stage if you think you can hold them back for long enough to!
11. Take a camera out and create a photo journey around your local area.
12. Go to your local library.
13. Create a photo challenge or scavenger hunt and set the kids off with their list and a camera or sketchpad and pencil each.
14. Lie in the garden under a blanket and stargaze one evening. Learn what the constellations are called during the day before.
15. Go for a walk or a hike!
16. Play hide and seek, sardines, charades and all those other old parlour games.
17. Make soup with leftover vegetables.
18. Wash the car, and yes, let them loose!
19. Camp in your own back garden, day or night.
20. Make a blanket fort or den.
21. Make postcards or write letters to send to loved ones.
22. Make up crazy outfits for yourself or other family members and take lots of crazy photos.
23. Play board games, or create your own.
24. Offer to help an elderly neighbour in their garden or around the house.
25. Learn juggling or origami or some other unusual skill.
26. Draw a fantasy treasure map.
27. Press flowers to make into bookmarks or cards.
28. Do finger painting or potato printing.
29. Write and illustrate a story or poem.
30. Do some shopping for an elderly or busy relative or neighbour.
31. Create a movie storyboard for a film you know well.
32. Go on a bug hunt.
33. Do a survey of cars that you spot, pets people have or anything else and create charts to represent it.
34. Create an activities jar. Everyone writes down or says 10 things they want to do, then all the slips are folded and put in a jar and you pull one out whenever you don't know what to do or the dreaded 'I'm bored!' is uttered.
35. Clear out old toys and take them to the charity shop.
36. Make sock puppets or sock monkeys from your odd socks.
37. Play card games like snap and 21. We don’t encourage betting on blackjack like my grandfather taught me!
38. Learn some tricks, either the magic kind, with your football, or some on your bike, scooter or skateboard.
39. Start a book club with friends.
40. Learn a Welsh or a new language through Duolingo or ‘Say Something in Welsh’.
41. Make your own play dough.
42. Make homemade pizzas with pitta bread.
43. Do YouTube Yoga.
44. Make homemade lemonade. Maybe go easy on the sugar or we will have kids swinging from the chandeliers!
45. Have a pillow fight.
46. Make a stock of handmade cards ready for relatives and friend’s birthdays.
We hope that you all have a fantastic Summer holiday. My hope is that each family will be able to have some really valuable time together - whether that is by going away or staying at home. Those times together are so precious.
I look forward to seeing you when our school starts back on Monday, 4th of September! (There is a staff training day on Friday, 1st of September).
