Bwletin y Pennaeth - 27.03.2023 - Head's Bulletin

SCROLL DOWN FOR ENGLISH VERSION

Bore da Deuluoedd,

Newid bach i’r drefn yr wythnos hon gyda’r bwletinyn dod allan heddiw nid ddydd Mawrth fel yr arfer!

Mae blynyddoedd plentyndod yn bwysig iawn ar gyfer iechyd a datblygiad unigolyn. Mae datblygiad iach yn golygu bod plant o bob gallu, gan gynnwys y rhai ag anghenion ychwanegol, yn gallu tyfu i fyny lle mae eu hanghenion cymdeithasol, emosiynol ac addysgol yn cael eu diwallu. Mewn partneriaeth â chi fel teuluoedd, gallwn wneud gwahaniaeth ym mywydau plant.

O ganlyniad, heddiw, rydym wedi rhoi adroddiad ysgol llawn eich plentyn ar gyfer y flwyddyn academaidd hon. Mae hyn mewn amlen wedi brandio gyda logo’r ysgol a’u henwau arnynt. Mae llawer o ysgolion yn cyhoeddi'r adroddiadau hyn ar ddiwedd y flwyddyn academaidd. Fodd bynnag, yn Ysgol Panteg rydyn ni'n gwneud pethau ychydig yn wahanol. Cyhoeddwyd adroddiad llawn eich plentyn ar ddiwedd Tymor y Gwanwyn er mwyn caniatáu iddynt weithio ar y targedau a nodwyd yn yr adroddiadau hyn gyda’u hathrawon cyn diwedd y flwyddyn. Yn y gorffennol, mae ‘camau nesaf’ wedi’u gosod fel rhan o adroddiadau ac maent yn cael eu hanghofio dros wyliau’r Haf.

Eisoes eleni, rydych wedi derbyn adroddiad byr, un dudalen cyn y Nadolig. Roedd hyn yn amlinellu cynnydd eich plentyn ar draws y meysydd pwnc cwricwlwm. Rydych hefyd wedi cael dau ‘Gyfarfodydd Cynnydd a Lles Disgyblion’ (a elwid gynt yn nosweithiau rhieni). Y dydd Mercher hwn (29ain o Fawrth) rydym wedi dyrannu amser ar ôl ysgol i unrhyw riant gysylltu â nhw i drafod unrhyw bryderon y mae'r adroddiad yn nodi neu ateb unrhyw gwestiynau a allai fod gennych. Os ydych chi am ymgymryd â'r cynnig hwn, cysylltwch â'ch athro/awes trwy ClassDojo i drefnu cyfarfod neu alwad ffôn.

Yn Nhymor yr Haf, byddwn yn rhoi cyfle arall i chi gwrdd â’r athro dosbarth ar gyfer ‘Cyfarfod Cynnydd a Lles Disgyblion’ terfynol. Bydd gennych hefyd adroddiad un dudalen olaf (tebyg i'r un a gawsoch cyn y Nadolig). Mae hyn i gyd yn rhan o'n haddewid i chi lan i ddyddiad yn llawn gyda chynnydd eich plentyn ac mae’n ffordd y gallwch chi adeiladu perthynas â'r athro dosbarth i sicrhau bod lles a chynnydd academaidd eich plentyn yn symud i'r cyfeiriad cywir.

Mae'r adroddiad ysgol llawn hwn mewn tair rhan. Y rhan gyntaf yw sylwadau personol ar eich plentyn. Mae'r ail ran yn seiliedig ar ein gwybodaeth asesu ffeithiol ar gyfer gwahanol bynciau. Mae'r rhan hon yn rhoi tri tharged ar gyfer pob pwnc. Yr ail ran hon yw'r wybodaeth statudol y mae angen i ni nawr ei rhannu â chi o dan ddeddfwriaeth y cwricwlwm newydd. Yn olaf, bydd dudalen o dystysgrif gofrestru eich plentyn yn amlinellu ei bresenoldeb. Mewn ymateb i adborth o adroddiad y llynedd, rydym wedi ceisio gwneud yr adroddiadau hyn yn fyrrach.

Yn olaf, rydym wedi ceisio tynnu jargon addysgol o'r adroddiad neu ei gadw i'r lleiafswm. Fodd bynnag, mae rhai termau yr ydym am eu hegluro i'ch helpu i ddeall adroddiad eich plentyn.

Os oes angen copi ychwanegol arnoch chi a dydych chi ddim wedi dweud wrthyn ni, cysylltwch gyda’r swyddfa (office.ysgolpanteg@torfaen.gov.uk) neu eich athro/awes dosbarth trwy ClassDojo a gallwn darparu copi digidol neu papur i chi.

Gobeithiwn y byddwch chi'n mwynhau darllen adroddiad eich plentyn.

Good Morning Families,

A small change to the order this week with the bulletin coming out today not on Tuesday as usual!

The years of childhood are very important for individual’s health and development. Healthy development means that children of all abilities, including those with additional needs, are able to grow up where their social, emotional and educational needs are met. In partnership with you as families, we can make a difference in children’s lives.

As such, we are sending home a copy of your child’s full school report for this academic year. These are in a brown envelope branded with the school logo. Many schools issue these reports at the end of the academic year. However, at Ysgol Panteg we do things a little differently. Your child’s full report has been issued at the end of the Spring Term in order to allow them to work on the targets set out in these reports with their teachers before the end of the year. In the past, ‘next steps’ have been set as part of reports and they are forgotten over the Summer holidays.

Already this year, you have received a short, one-page report before Christmas. This outlined the progress of your child across the curriculum subject areas. You have also had two ‘Pupil Progress and Wellbeing Meetings’ (previously called parents evenings). This Wednesday (29th of March) we have allocated time after school for any parent to contact to discuss any concerns the report flags up or answer any questions you may have. If you wish to take up this offer, contact your teacher via ClassDojo to arrange a meeting or phone call.

In the Summer term, we will give you another opportunity to meet with the class teacher for a final ‘Pupil Progress and Wellbeing Meeting’. You will also have a final one-page report (similar to the one you received before Christmas). This is all part of our promise to you to keep you full appraised of your child’s progress and a way you can build a relationship with the class teacher to ensure that your child’s wellbeing and academic progress is moving in the right direction.

This full school report is in three parts. The first part is personal comments on your child. The second part is based on our factual assessment information for different subjects. This part gives three targets for each subject. This second part is the statutory information we now need to share with you under the legislation of the new curriculum. Finally, there will be a print out of your child’s registration certificate outlining their attendance. In response to feedback from last year’s report, we have attempted to make these reports shorter.

Finally, we have attempted to remove educational jargon from the report or keep it to a minimum. However, there are some terms that we wish to explain to help you understand your child’s report.

If you need an additional copy and you haven't told us, please contact the (office.ysgolpanteg@torfaen.gov.uk) or your class teacher via ClassDojo and we can provide you with a digital copy or paper.

We hope that you enjoy reading your child’s report.
