Mae ein Cyngor Ysgol wedi bod yn gweithio’n agos gyda’r elusen Cymorth i Fenywod, ‘Cyfannol’, ac rydym angen eich help!


Rydym yn casglu nwyddau ymolchi nad ydych eu hangen ar ôl cyfnod y Nadolig—bydd eich rhoddion yn gwneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol i’r rhai sy’n cael eu cefnogi gan yr elusen.


Enghreifftiau o eitemau y gallwch eu rhoi:

Bydd y Cyngor Ysgol yn paratoi blychau o nwyddau i’w danfon i ‘Cyfannol’, felly anfonwch unrhyw eitemau y gallwch erbyn Ionawr 23ain.

Ein Diwrnodau Ysbrydoliaeth Thematig

Yr wythnos hon rydym wedi cynnal llawer o weithgareddau cyffrous i ddechrau ein themâu newydd!


Cam Cynnydd 1

Heddiw, mae ein Meithrinfa a'n Dosbarth Derbyn wedi dechrau edrych ar eu thema newydd 'Archarwyr Anturus'! Maent wedi cael llawer o weithgareddau hwyliog yn edrych ar 'archarwyr heb glogynnau'. Maent wedi bod yn edrych ar feddygon, nyrsys, a gweithwyr iechyd eraill, diffoddwyr tân a swyddogion heddlu, gweithwyr siopau, gwirfoddolwyr, elusennau! Llawer a llawer i gychwyn eu thema newydd sbon! Dros yr hanner tymor nesaf, byddem wrth ein bodd yn gwahodd rhieni sy'n gweithio mewn swyddi sy'n helpu pobl i ddod i'r ysgol i siarad â'r plant - os ydych chi'n fodlon, cysylltwch ag athrawon Cam Cynnydd 1.



Cam Cynnydd 2

Ar gyfer diwrnod ysbrydoliaeth Cam Cynnydd 2, teithiom 'Trwy'r Drws' ar daith trwy amser, gan wahodd plant i archwilio sut mae'r byd wedi newid a sut mae bywydau pobl wedi esblygu yng Nghymru a'r ardal leol. Roedd y gweithgareddau'n cynnwys astudio ffotograffau o'r 1900au o'r ardal leol, gan eu defnyddio i greu gwaith celf sy'n dal sut olwg oedd ar eu cymuned ar un adeg. Fe wnaethon ni hefyd archwilio'r 1940au, gan edrych ar brofiadau gwacïwyr amser rhyfel a sut roedd hi'n teimlo gadael cartref am ddiogelwch, gan gynnwys gwneud ein tagiau enw ein hunain. Fe wnaethon ni hefyd fentro i'r 1990au i ddarganfod pa mor gyflym y mae technoleg wedi trawsnewid bywyd bob dydd o gyfrifiaduron cynnar a ffonau symudol trwchus i'r byd cyflym, cysylltiedig rydyn ni'n ei adnabod heddiw.

Cawsom ddiwrnod gwych yng Ngham Cynnydd 3 i ddechrau ein thema newydd 'Cnawd, Gwaed ac Esgyrn' yr wythnos hon. Fe wnaethon ni ymgymryd â nifer o weithgareddau yn ystod ein diwrnod ysbrydoliaeth, gan gynnwys cwis, creu sgerbwd pasta pelydr-x, edrych ar y system dreulio a darllen 'Meddyginiaeth Ryfeddol George'.

The School Council Needs Your Help!

Our School Council has been working closely with the Women’s Aid charity, Cyfannol, and we’d love your support.


We are collecting unwanted toiletries following the Christmas period—these donations will make a real difference to those supported by the charity.


Examples of items you can donate include:

  • Shampoo and conditioner

  • Shower gel and soap

  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes

  • Deodorant

  • Moisturiser and hand cream


The School Council will be preparing boxes of toiletries for delivery to Cyfannol, so please send in any items you can by January 23rd.

Our Thematic Inspiration Days

This week we've held lots of exciting activities to begin our new themes!


Progress Step 1

Today, our Nursery and Reception have begun looking at their new theme 'Adventurous Superheroes'! The have had lots of fun activities looking at 'superheroes without capes'. They've been looking at doctors, nurses, and other health workers, firefighters and police officers, shop workers, volunteers, charities! Lots and lots to kick of their brand new theme! Over the next half term, we would love to invite parents who work in jobs that help people to come to school to talk to the children - if you are willing, please contact the Progress Step 1 teachers.



Progress Step 2

For Progress Step 2’s inspiration day we travelled 'Through the Door' on a journey through time, inviting children to explore how the world has changed and how people’s lives have evolved in Wales and the local area. Activities included studying photographs from the 1900s of the local area, using them to create artwork that captures what their community once looked like. We also explored the 1940s, looking at the experiences of wartime evacuees and how it felt to leave home for safety, including making our own name tags. We also ventured to the 1990s discovering how quickly technology has transformed everyday life from early computers and chunky mobile phones to the fast, connected world we know today.



Progress Step 3

We had a fantastic day in Progress Step 3 to start our new theme 'Flesh, Blood and Bones' this week. We undertook a number of activities during our inspiration day, including, a quiz, creating an x-ray pasta skeleton, looking at the digestive system and reading 'George's Marvellous Medicine'.

Urdd Trip to Tredegar House

Unfortunately, last evening we heard that the Urdd have cancelled their trip to Tredegar House once again. It is not due to be rearranged. We apologise for any disappointment.

Day of Lessons in Gwynllyw

Next Wednesday, the children have the opportunity to go for a day of lessons at Gwynllyw. We are aware that some of the children are going to other schools, but we have booked space for all the children on the bus. If you don't want your child to attend, please contact the school office to let us know: office.ysgolpanteg@torfaen.gov.uk.

School Clubs Notification

Thank you for signing up for clubs. Today, we have sent home club letters to let you know whether your child has been successful in getting a space or if they are on a waiting list. Please remember that missing three consecutive clubs will mean that we give your child's space to a child on the waiting list. If you no longer want or need the space, please contact office.ysgolpanteg@torfaen.gov.uk so that we can give the space to someone on the waiting list. School run clubs' registration is now closed.
