Wythnos yr NSPCC
Gan ein bod yn canolbwyntio yr wythnos hon ar bwnc y dydd ar gyfer ein hwythnos NSPCC, dim ond un bwletin fydd yr wythnos hon. Ddoe, fe gawsoch chi wybodaeth am sut i gadw plant yn ddiogel ar YouTube. Heddiw, rydyn ni'n rhannu gwybodaeth am wefan wych i rieni o'r enw Common Sense Media. Am weddill yr wythnos, byddwn yn anfon gwybodaeth ddiddorol arall am ddiogelwch, lles ac emosiynau plant.

Mae ein plant yn Mlwyddyn 3 yn gyffrous iawn i fod yn dysgu Saesneg. Enw ein rhaglen ffoneg yw Read Write Inc. Rydym yn trefnu noson wybodaeth ar ddydd Mawrth, 25ain o Hydref am 4:30pm ar gyfer ein teuluoedd Blwyddyn 3 a 4. Unwaith eto, diolch i'r rhai sydd wedi ymuno yn barod! Hyfforddiant Amddiffyn Plant i Deuluoedd
Fel ysgol rydym yn gweld amddiffyn plant fel ein prif flaenoriaeth. O ganlyniad, yn dymhorol, rydym yn cynnig rhywfaint o hyfforddiant ymwybyddiaeth cychwynnol i gymuned yr ysgol gyfan. Mae hyn yn ein helpu ni i gyd i fod yn wyliadwrus a gofalu am blant yn ein cymuned ysgol a thu hwnt. Mae’r hyfforddiant yn eich helpu i nodi gwahanol fathau o gam-drin, symptomau ac effaith profiadau niweidiol yn ystod plentyndod. Ychydig dros awr yw'r hyfforddiant. ClassDojo
Yesterday, most families received their new ClassDojo codes. By the end of today, the remainder of families will have received their codes. We want all families to be linked with their teacher as soon as possible. If you do not receive a ClassDojo code by this evening, please email your class teacher. Their email address follows this pattern: firstname.surname@ysgolpanteg.cymru. They will then be able to issue you with a code or email invitation. Should you need or want an additional code for more than one parent, please let us know by the same method.
We are sorry for this inconvenience and we are trying to rectify to situation as quickly as possible since the technical failure deleted our school’s account.
In the lead at the moment is Dosbarth Tŷ Coch (Miss Harley, Reception Class) with 55% of families connected up!

NSPCC Week
Since we are focusing this week on a topic per day for our NSPCC week, there will only be one bulletin this week. Yesterday, you received information about how to keep children safe on YouTube. Today, we share information about a fantastic site for parents called Common Sense Media. For the rest of the week, we will be sending out other interesting information about child safety, wellbeing and emotions.
Don’t forget to wear something green tomorrow! It can be a green t-shirt, a green hat, or even something as small as green socks!
RECEPTION AND NURSERY
Tric a Chlic
On Thursday, 20th of October at 4:30pm, we are planning a taster session for parents and families who wish to learn a little more about how our Welsh phonic scheme works. Thank you to those who have signed up already! This will consist of a short presentation and practical tips and hints to help you support your child’s reading journey. There will also be time for questions and a chance to speak to the teachers. Sign up by following this link:
YEAR 3 & 4
Read Write Inc English Phonics
Our Year 3 children are very excited to be learning English. Our phonics programme is called Read Write Inc. We are planning an information evening on Tuesday, 25th of October at 4:30pm for our Year 3 and 4 families. Again, thank you to those who have signed up already! This will help you understand the methods we use to teach English phonics, where to find reading books and how our speed-sounds lessons run. Sign up by following this link:

Child Protection Training for Families
As a school we value child protection as our top priority. As a result, in a termly basis, we offer out some initial awareness training to the whole school community. This helps us all be vigilant and caring for children in our school community and beyond. The training helps you to identify different types of abuse, symptoms and the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences. The training is just over an hour. This term, we are going to do this in person and digitally.
In-person training: Wednesday, 19th of October, 4:30-5:45 at the school.
Digital Training: Wednesday, 19th of October, 9:30-10:45am via Microsoft Teams.

Absence
If your child is absent from school due to being ill, please remember to ring and leave a message or send an email as soon as possible. Thank you to those families who do this as soon as possible - since we have had Miss Catherine Duke working in our office there has been a marked improvement. So, thank you! However, to ensure all children are safe, our aim is to know exactly the whereabouts of our children as quickly as possible and every phone call we have to make delays that being the case.
