Annwyl Deuluoedd,
Ymdrechwn bob amser i wneud ein cwricwlwm, yma yn Ysgol Panteg, mor gyffrous a pherthnasol â phosibl. Yn ogystal, fel ysgol sy’n sicrhau bod llais y disgybl wrth galon y dysgu, mae llawer o bethau cyffrous y mae’r plant wedi dweud eu bod am ddysgu amdanynt. O’r herwydd, mae bwletin heddiw yn canolbwyntio ar y mathau o bethau y bydd ein plant yn eu dysgu dros y tymor nesaf. Nid wyf wedi ceisio rhestru popeth y bydd y plant yn edrych arno - ond yn hytrach rai pwyntiau allweddol y gallwch ymgysylltu â hwy fel teuluoedd.
Yng Ngham Cynnydd 3 (Blynyddoedd 4-6), ein thema fydd ‘Gwlad y Gân’. Dyma rai o’r pethau y byddwn yn eu dysgu:
-Mewn gwersi Ieithoedd, Llythrennedd a Chyfathrebu, bydd plant yn edrych ar farddoniaeth gan T. Llew Jones, yn ysgrifennu chwedl fytholegol, yn astudio fersiwn symlach o ‘Romeo and Juliet’ gan Shakespeare ac yn ysgrifennu llythyr ffurfiol.
-Yn ein gwersi Iechyd a Lles byddwn yn edrych ar newidiadau i’r corff, strategaethau ar gyfer delio â phethau annisgwyl sy’n codi mewn bywyd, yn edrych ar nifer o straeon sy’n dysgu gwersi bywyd, yn edrych ar breifatrwydd a diogelwch ar y rhyngrwyd a dieithriaid. perygl. Byddwn yn dysgu sut i chwarae rownderi a chriced yn ogystal ag ymarfer ein sgiliau athletau.
-Yn ein gwersi Dyniaethau, bydd plant yn edrych ar Llywelyn Fawr, Gwrthryfel Owain Glyndwr, Y Normaniaid a Brwydr Hastings, Edward y Cyntaf ac Adeiladu Cestyll. Dysgu am wahanol fathau o gestyll ac archwilio eu gwahaniaethau dros oesoedd. Deall sut roedd castell mwnt a beili yn gweithio. Yn ein gwersi Astudiaethau Crefyddol byddwn yn edrych ar arweinwyr crefyddol o wahanol grefyddau (fel y Prif Rabi, Desmond Tutu).
-Yn ein gwersi Gwyddoniaeth a Thechnoleg, bydd plant yn tyfu crisialau, yn edrych ar sut mae'r glust yn gweithio, yn gwneud model catapwlt.
-Yn ein gwersi Celfyddydau Mynegiannol, bydd plant yn edrych ar gerddoriaeth a baledi Cymreig, byddwn yn gwneud ein arfbais ein hunain, yn creu modelau 3D o gestyll, yn creu dawns ddraig greadigol.
Yng Ngham Cynnydd 2 (Blynyddoedd 1-3), ein thema fydd ‘Yn Gyflym fel y Gwynt’. Dyma rai o’r pethau y byddwn yn eu dysgu:
-Mewn gwersi Ieithoedd, Llythrennedd a Chyfathrebu, byddwn yn ysgrifennu sgript, yn edrych ar chwedl Guto Nyth Bran, yn ysgrifennu erthygl papur newydd, yn dysgu am ysgrifennu cyfarwyddiadol. Byddwn yn darllen llyfrau fel 'Tren Mawr Glas', 'Wwsh ar y Brws', 'Sogi a'r Meddygon Awyr', 'Beth am fynd i Hwylio?', 'Beth Nesaf?', 'Serenola', 'Tri Balwn Coch'.
-Yn ein gwersi Iechyd a Lles, byddwn yn edrych ar ddewis dillad priodol, dewisiadau bwyd iach, profi dathliadau diwylliannau gwahanol, aros yn ddiogel ar-lein, aros yn ddiogel yn y parc a dysgu sut i groesi'r ffordd yn ddiogel Byddwn yn edrych ar lawer o gemau taflu a dal, athletau a dawns.
-Yn ein gwersi Dyniaethau, bydd plant yn edrych ar deithio yn yr ardal leol dros y blynyddoedd, byddwn yn dysgu am wahanol wledydd a’u lleoliad ar fap, byddwn yn dysgu sut i ddysgu sut i ddysgu ein hôl troed carbon. Yn ein gwersi Astudiaethau Crefyddol, byddwn yn edrych ar ddeall bod yna wahanol grefyddau o gwmpas y byd a deall bod pobl yn credu gwahanol bethau.
-Yn ein gwersi Gwyddoniaeth a Thechnoleg, bydd plant yn edrych ar lawer o arbrofion yn ymwneud â ffrithiant, disgyrchiant ac egni. Byddant yn gwneud model o felin wynt a barcud.
-Yn ein gwersi Celfyddydau Mynegiannol, bydd plant yn edrych ar gerddoriaeth wahanol o ddiwylliannau gwahanol. Byddwn yn dysgu sut i chwarae drymiau Affricanaidd. Byddwn yn edrych ar gelf Affricanaidd.
Yng Ngham Cynnydd 1 (Meithrin a Derbyn), ein themâu fydd y thema ‘Blasus! Blasus!’ yn yr hanner tymor cyntaf a ‘Heulwen yr Haf!’ yn yr ail hanner tymor.
-Mewn gwersi Ieithoedd, Llythrennedd a Chyfathrebu, bydd plant yn edrych ar lawer o straeon fel ‘Y Lindysyn Llwglyd Iawn’, ‘Sypreis Handa’ a’r ‘Tiger Who came to Tea’. Byddwn yn edrych ar sut i ysgrifennu rhestr siopa. Byddwn yn ysgrifennu bwydlen a gwahoddiad.
-Yn ein gwersi Iechyd a Lles byddwn yn edrych ar ddewisiadau bwyd iach, germau, hylendid wrth baratoi bwyd, sut i frwsio dannedd yn iawn, yn trafod beth sy'n gwneud ffrind da. Byddwn yn gweithio ar ein sgiliau gymnasteg, cwrs antur, athletau a sgiliau diwrnod mabolgampau.
-Yn ein gwersi Dyniaethau, bydd plant yn edrych ar fwydydd Masnach Deg, o ble mae bwyd yn dod. Byddwn yn dysgu bod diwylliannau gwahanol yn dathlu mewn gwahanol ffyrdd. Byddwn yn edrych ar wneud llawer o gelf fel ffenestri lliw ffug.
-Yn ein gwersi Gwyddoniaeth a Thechnoleg, bydd plant yn edrych ar y synhwyrau, yn dysgu am gylch bywyd y lindysyn, yn edrych ar sut rydym yn cadw bwyd ac yn profi beth sy'n digwydd i wahanol fwydydd pan fyddwn yn rhewi, yn berwi, yn oeri ac yn gwresogi. Fe wnaethon ni wneud rhai arbrofion gyda bwyd i weld sut maen nhw'n cadw.
-Yn ein gwersi Celfyddydau Mynegiannol, bydd plant yn gwneud offerynnau cerdd, yn dysgu a dawnsio Affricanaidd ac yn actio rhannau o straeon.
Ar draws yr holl gamau cynnydd rydym yn parhau i ddefnyddio ein rhaglen Fathemateg, Abacus, sy’n gwricwlwm blaengar a chytbwys. Rwyf wedi atodi ein polisïau cyfrifo i'r e-bost hwn oherwydd mae hon yn ffordd syml, weledol ichi weld sut yr ydym yn mynd ati i ddysgu rhai dulliau. Mae mwy o fanylion am beth mae eich plentyn yn ei wersi Mathemateg, wythnos ar ôl wythnos, ar gael gan eich athro dosbarth.
We endeavour always to make our curriculum, here at Ysgol Panteg, as exciting and relevant as possible. Additionally, as a school that ensures that pupil voice is at the heart of learning, there are lots of exciting things that the children have said they want to learn about. As such, today’s bulletin focuses on the types of things that our children will be learning over the course of the next term. I have not attempted to list everything the children will be looking at - but rather some key points that you can engage with as families.
In Progress Step 3 (Years 4-6), our theme will the ‘The Land of Song’. Here are some of the things we will be learning:
-In Languages, Literacy and Communication lessons, children will looking at poetry by T. Llew Jones, writing a mythological tale, studying a simplified version of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' and writing a formal letter.
-In our Health and Wellbeing lessons we will be looking at changes to the body, strategies for dealing with unexpected things that come up in life, looking at a number of stories that teach life lessons, looking at privacy and safety on the internet and stranger danger. We will be learning how to play rounders and cricket as well as practicing our athletics skills.
-In our Humanities lessons, children will be looking at Llywelyn the Great, Owain Glyndwr's Rebellion, The Normans and the Battle of Hastings, Edward the First and the Building of Castles. Learning about different types of castles and explore their differences over ages. Understand how a motte and bailey castle worked. In our Religious Studies lessons we will be looking at religious leaders from different religions (such as the Chief Rabbi, Desmond Tutu).
-In our Science and Technology lessons, children will be growing crystals, looking at how the ear works, making a model catapult.
-In our Expressive Arts lessons, children will be looking at Welsh music and ballads, we will be making our own coat of arms, creating 3D models of castles, creating a creative dragon dance.
In Progress Step 2 (Years 1-3), our theme will the ‘As Fast as the Wind’. Here are some of the things we will be learning:
-In Languages, Literacy and Communication lessons, we will be writing a script, looking at the tale of Guto Nyth Bran, writing a newspaper article, learning about instructional writing. We will be reading books such as 'Tren Mawr Glas', 'Wwsh ar y Brws', 'Sogi a’r Meddygon Awyr', 'Beth am fynd i Hwylio?', 'Beth Nesaf?', 'Serenola', 'Tri Balwn Coch'.
-In our Health and Wellbeing lessons, we will be looking at picking appropriate clothing, healthy food choices, experiencing different cultures' celebrations, staying safe online, staying safe in the park and learning how to cross the road safely We will be looking at lots of throwing and catching games, athletics and dance.
-In our Humanities lessons, children will be looking at travel in the local area over the years, we will be learning about different countries and their location on a map, we will be learning about how to lessen our carbon footprint. In our Religious Studies lessons, we will be looking at understanding that there are different religions around the world and understanding that people believe different things.
-In our Science and Technology lessons, children will be looking at many experiments to do with friction, gravity and energy. They will be making a model windmill and a kite.
-In our Expressive Arts lessons, children will be looking at different music from different cultures. We will be learning how to play African drums and looking at African art.
In Progress Step 1 (Nursery and Reception), our themes will be the ‘Tasty! Tasty!’ in the first half term and ‘Summer Sun!’ in the second half term.
-In Languages, Literacy and Communication lessons, children will looking at lots of stories such as 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar', 'Sypreis Handa' and the 'Tiger Who Came to Tea'. We will be looking at how to write a shopping list. We will write a menu and an invitation.
-In our Health and Wellbeing lessons we will be looking at healthy food choices, germs, hygiene when preparing food, how to brush teeth properly, discussing what makes a good friend. We will be working on our gymnastics skills, adventure course, athletics and sports day skills.
-In our Humanities lessons, children will be looking at Fairtrade foods, where food comes from. We will be learning that different cultures celebrate in different ways. We will be looking at making lots of art like pretend stain glass windows.
-In our Science and Technology lessons, children will be looking at the senses, learning about the caterpillar lifecycle, looking at how we preserve food and experiencing what happens to different foods when we freeze, boil, cool and heat. We doing some experiments with food to see how they keep.
-In our Expressive Arts lessons, children will be making musical instruments, learning and African dance and acting parts of stories.
Across all progress steps we continue to use our Mathematics programme, Abacus, which is a progressive and balanced curriculum. I have attached our calculations policies to this email because this is a simple, visual way of you seeing how we go about teaching certain methods. More details about what your child in their Mathematics lessons, week by week, are available from your class teacher.
