Annwyl Deuluoedd,
Am wythnos wych roedd hi wedi bod yn Ysgol Panteg! Llawer o bethau cyffrous a llawer o waith caled gan bawb!
Teithiau i'r Amgueddfa Eifftaidd
Rydym mor falch bod ein plant Blwyddyn 4 a 6 wedi mwynhau eu taith i Amgueddfa Eifftaidd Abertawe. Dysgon nhw gymaint am yr Eifftiaid a hyd yn oed rhoi cynnig ar ‘mummification’!
Cymorth Cyntaf
Cafodd ein plant Blwyddyn 5 sesiynau gydag Ambiwlans Sant Ioan i ddysgu sgiliau cymorth cyntaf allweddol. O'r hyn a glywaf, mae llawer o'r rhieni wedi bod yn foch cwta wrth iddynt ymarfer y sefyllfa adfer gartref!
Blaenoriaeth Datblygu Ysgol
Heddiw, rwy’n rhannu ein pumed blaenoriaeth ddatblygu, a’r olaf, yn fanylach.
Blaenoriaeth 2: Cryfhau Gweithdrefnau Asesu drwy fewnoli system dracio gydweithredol newydd sy’n llywio cymorth a darpariaeth briodol, drwy ymgorffori cymorth ymyrraeth dysgu ychwanegol ymhellach, a thrwy gyflymu’r dysgu ar ôl y pandemig.
Fel ysgol, rydym yn anelu at ragoriaeth. Rydym yn cydnabod ein bod ni wedi bod ar daith eleni i wireddu’r freuddwyd hon ond bod camau allweddol sydd nawr angen cymryd er mwyn cyrraedd ein gweledigaeth. Mae ein Pedwar Panteg wrth wraidd popeth rydym wedi gweithredu yn ein hysgol a bydd hyn yn parhau wrth i ni fewnoli systemau sydd yn datlbygu ac yn annog datblygiad ein disgyblion i gyd. Mae ein gwerth o fod yn deuluol wedi bod yn sylfaen i ddatblygiad ein gweithdrefnau Anghenion Dysgu Ychwanegol a sicrhau addysg gynhwysol. Byddwn yn adeiladu ar hyn i ddarparu ymhellach awyrgylch sydd yn sicrhau datblygiad pob plentyn i wireddu eu llawn potensial ac yn sicrhau eu bod nhw’n teimlo’n bwysig ac yn ddiogel i gael eu herio i wneud hynny. Rydym yn garedig ac wedi datblygu system cefnogol sydd yn gwerthfawrogi unigolion ac yn rhoi pwyslais ar lais y disgybl wrth i ni gydweithio fel tîm o’u cwmpas; mi fydd hyn yn parhau wrth i ni gryfhau ein systemau asesu ymhellach. Rydym yn dîm angerddol sydd yn frwd i ddarparu system sydd yn annog datblygiad dysgwyr i fod yn gyfranwyr mentrus ac yn uchelgeisiol. Wrth i ni ddod allan o’r pandemig, rydym am sicrhau bod ymyrraeth cyflymu cynnydd wrth wraidd ein blaenoriaethau.
Noson Agored
Dydd Iau nesaf, mae gennym ein noson agored ar gyfer rhieni newydd a darpar rieni. Mae hwn yn ddigwyddiad hynod o bwysig i ni. Mae’n hollbwysig ein bod yn annog pobl i gofrestru eu plant ar gyfer addysg cyfrwng Cymraeg yn Ysgol Panteg. Credwn yn angerddol fod gennym ni, fel ysgol a Theulu Panteg, gynnig gwych i’w roi i deuluoedd.
Rydyn ni wedi bod allan yn dosbarthu taflenni o gwmpas yr ardal ac mae gennym ni fwy o gynlluniau i ddosbarthu taflenni dros y penwythnos.
Diolch i'r pedwar teulu a helpodd ni drwy wneud eu stryd eu hunain. Rydyn ni wir angen eich help! Defnyddiwch y ddolen isod a byddwn yn anfon faint o daflenni sydd eu hangen ar eich stryd adref. Bydd 15 munud o'ch amser yn wirioneddol yn ein helpu i gael y gair allan.
Gydag ysgol gynradd newydd wedi ei hagor ar safle Gwynllyw, mae ein dalgylch yn llai sy’n golygu bod rhaid i ni weithio’n galetach.
Cyfarfodydd Cynnydd a Lles
Ar y gweill mae ein cyfarfodydd cynnydd a lles rhieni-athrawon. O ddydd Llun 3ydd o Hydref tan ddydd Mercher 5ed o Hydref, rydym yn cynnal cyfarfodydd personol a rhith-gyfarfodydd. Mae hwn wedi'i gynllunio fel cyfarfod dwy ffordd: mae cyfle i chi rannu ac i'r athro rannu. Mae'n helpu teuluoedd a staff ysgol i ddeall plant yn well. Mae’n gyfle i drafod sut mae’ch plentyn wedi ymgartrefu yn eu dosbarth, eu cynnydd o’r llynedd hyd heddiw, sut y gallwn gydweithio er lles eich plentyn a beth yw eu camau nesaf. Byddwn yn gallu dangos sgorau o asesiadau diweddar i chi a beth yw cryfderau eich plentyn a’r meysydd i’w datblygu.
Cyfarfodydd byr yw'r cyfarfodydd hyn, fodd bynnag, gallwn gyflawni llawer mewn amser byr!
Llenwch y ddolen isod i rannu pa amseroedd rydych chi ar gael. Bydd staff yr ysgol wedyn mewn cysylltiad dros yr wythnos nesaf er mwyn cadarnhau amser mwy pendant.

What a great week it has been at Ysgol Panteg! Lots of exciting things and lots of hard work from all!
Trips to the Egyptian Museum
We are so pleased that our Year 4 and 6, children enjoyed their trip to the Swansea Egyptian Museum. They learnt so much about the Egyptians and even got to have a go at pretend mummification!
First Aid
Our Year 5 children had sessions with St. John Ambulance to learn key first aid skills. From what I hear, many of the parents have been guinea pigs as they practice the recovery position at home!
School Development Priority
Today, I share our fifth and final development priority in more detail.
Priority 2: Strengthen Assessment Procedures by implementing a new collaborative tracking system that informs appropriate support and provision, by further embedding additional learning intervention support, and by accelerating learning post-pandemic.
As a school, we aim for excellence. We recognise that we have been on a journey this year to make this more of a reality but that there are key steps that now need to be taken in order to reach our vision. Our Pedwar Panteg are at the heart of everything we have implemented in our school and this will continue as we implement systems that develop and encourage the development of all our pupils. Our value of being family has been the foundation for the development of our Additional Learning Needs procedures and ensuring inclusive education. We will build on this to further provide an atmosphere that ensures the development of each child to realise their full potential and ensures that they feel important and safe to be challenged to do so. We are kind and so have developed a supportive system that values individuals and places emphasis on the pupil's voice as we work together as a team around them; this will continue as we further strengthen our assessment systems. We are a fired-up team that is keen to provide a system that encourages the development of learners to be enterprising and ambitious contributors. As we emerge from the pandemic, we want to ensure that intervention to accelerate progress is at the heart of our priorities.
Open Evening
Next Thursday, we have our open evening for new and prospective parents. This is an incredibly important event for us. It is crucial that we encourage people to sign their children up for Welsh medium education at Ysgol Panteg. We passionately believe that we, as a school and Panteg Family, have a great deal to offer..
We’ve been out leaflet dropping around the area and we have some more planned leaflet dropping over the weekend.
Thank you to the four families who helped us by doing their own street. We really need your help! Please use the link below and we will send home the amount of leaflets needed for your street. 15 minutes of your time will truly help us get the word out.
With a new primary school opened on the Gwynllyw site, our catchment is smaller which means we have to work harder to ensure that we have the numbers of children coming through too.
Progress and Wellbeing Meetings
Coming up is our parent-teacher progress and wellbeing meetings. From Monday 3rd of October to Wednesday 5th of October, we are holding in-person and virtual meetings. This is designed a two way meeting: there is opportunity for you to share and for the teacher to share. It helps both families and school staff to understand children better. It is an opportunity to discuss how your child has settled in to their class, their progress from last year to now, how we can work together for the benefit of your child and what their next steps are. We will be able to show you scores from recent assessments and what your child’s strengths are and areas for development.
These meetings are short meetings, however, a lot can be accomplished in a short time!
