Mae ceginau ein hysgol wedi cyflawni sgôr hylendid bwyd 5 seren unwaith eto, canlyniad sy'n adlewyrchu'r gofal, y proffesiynoldeb a'r cysondeb a ddangosir gan dîm arlwyo Torfaen bob dydd. Cadarnhaodd yr arolygiad fod ein mannau paratoi bwyd, ein systemau storio a'n harferion dyddiol yn bodloni'r safonau uchaf o ran glendid a diogelwch.

Sioe Fawr Cam Cynnydd 3
Roedd sioe fawr diwedd blwyddyn Cam Cynnydd 3 heddiw yn Theatr y Congress yn sioe wych. Roedd gan 'Y Syrcas Fach o Freuddwydion Mawr' hyder, sglein a synnwyr o achlysur a fyddai wedi creu argraff ar unrhyw gynulleidfa, ac unwaith eto cododd y plant i'r her o berfformio mewn theatr broffesiynol gyda sicrwydd rhyfeddol. O'r eiliadau agoriadol, roedd yn amlwg eu bod yn deall maint yr hyn yr oeddent yn ei wneud ac yn benderfynol o roi perfformiad teilwng o'r lleoliad i deuluoedd.
Roedd y rhifau cerddorol yn uchafbwynt drwyddo draw. Cyflwynwyd caneuon o 'The Greatest Showman' gydag egni theatrig beiddgar, roedd eitem Dolly Parton yn disgleirio â phersonoliaeth, roedd Soda Pop yn byrlymu â brwdfrydedd, a daeth Singing in the Rain â chyffyrddiad hyfryd o hiraeth gyda thro! Cafodd pob darn ei lunio'n ofalus, a chanodd a dawnsiodd y disgyblion gyda hyder a ddangosodd pa mor bell y maent wedi dod.
Roedd ein plant yn canolbwyntio, yn ddisgybledig ac yn amlwg yn falch o'r hyn yr oeddent wedi'i greu gyda'i gilydd. Cododd eu gwaith tîm, eu presenoldeb ar y llwyfan a'u hymrwymiad i'r stori'r cynhyrchiad cyfan! Roedd yn sioe a ddangosodd eu talent, eu gwydnwch a'r llawenydd maen nhw'n ei gael wrth berfformio!

Blindiau Ystafell Ddosbarth Newydd
Wrth i chi gerdded o amgylch yr adeilad efallai y byddwch yn sylwi ein bod wedi gosod bleindiau newydd ym mhob ystafell ddosbarth. Rydym yn edrych ar lawer o wahanol fesurau i helpu i reoli'r gwres yn yr ystafelloedd dosbarth. Dyma un o'n mesurau - efallai y bydd y bleindiau'n edrych yn normal ond mae ganddyn nhw gefn arbennig i atal golau haul a gwres rhag mynd i mewn i'r ystafelloedd dosbarth. Rydym yn gwybod na fydd hyn yn ateb i'r tywydd poeth iawn hwn a thywydd tebyg yn y dyfodol - ond rydym yn gwybod y bydd llawer o newidiadau bach yn gwneud gwahaniaeth mawr!

Byrbrydau Iach yn Ysgol Panteg
Wrth i ni edrych ymlaen at fis Medi, rydym yn annog teuluoedd yn ysgafn i anfon byrbryd syml, maethlon ar gyfer egwyl y bore. Mae plant yn treulio rhan fawr o'u diwrnod gyda ni, a gall y bwyd maen nhw'n ei fwyta yn yr ysgol wneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol i'w hegni, eu ffocws a'u lles. Mae ffrwythau a llysiau ffres, eitemau llaeth bach fel iogwrt neu gaws, a byrbrydau carbohydrad ysgafn fel cacennau ceirch neu gacennau reis i gyd yn gweithio'n dda. Gofynnwn yn garedig i siocled, melysion, bisgedi a chreision aros gartref, gan y gall byrbrydau a diodydd llawn siwgr gael effaith amlwg ar feddwl a pharodrwydd plant i ddysgu. Cofiwch hefyd ein bod yn ysgol ddi-gnau. Ein nod yn syml yw helpu pob plentyn i deimlo'n gyson, wedi'i danio a'i baratoi ar gyfer y bore sydd i ddod.

ANGEN GWEITHREDU
Gwirfoddoli ar gyfer y Sioe Belydrau
Rydym yn bwriadu cynnal ein sioe belydrau flynyddol ym mis Hydref (17/10/2026) unwaith eto. Er mwyn cynnal y digwyddiad hwn yn llwyddiannus ac yn ddiogel, mae angen cefnogaeth ein gwirfoddolwyr gwych arnom. Os gallwch neilltuo ychydig oriau, cofrestrwch gan ddefnyddio'r ddolen isod. Bydd pob gwirfoddolwr yn derbyn tocyn am ddim i'r sioe laser fel arwydd o ddiolch am eich cefnogaeth.
Dyma'r rolau sydd angen eu llenwi:
Paratoi - ein helpu i baratoi ar gyfer y digwyddiad, gan gynnwys symud byrddau a gosod arwyddion a stondinau'r PTA.
Gwirio tocynnau - gweithio mewn parau; bydd pedwar pwynt gwirio tocynnau lle byddwch yn sganio'r cod QR ac yn dosbarthu bandiau arddwrn.
Tywys - rydym yn chwilio am bobl i dywys ymwelwyr i'r ardaloedd sydd wedi'u neilltuo iddynt.
Gwerthu eitemau sy'n goleuo - byddwch yn y plaza wrth i bobl gyrraedd, yn gwerthu ategolion sy'n goleuo.
Stondin lluniaeth y PTA - wedi'i lleoli ger yr iard, byddwch yn gwerthu diodydd poeth ac oer.
Clirio ar ôl y digwyddiad - helpu i roi popeth i ffwrdd ar ddiwedd y digwyddiad, gan gynnwys byrddau, stoc ac ati, a sicrhau bod yr ysgol yn cael ei gadael yn daclus.
Fel o'r blaen, bydd Comet Security ac Ambiwlans St John yn bresennol.

5 Star Food Hygiene Rating
Our school kitchens have once again achieved a 5‑star food hygiene rating, a result that reflects the care, professionalism and consistency shown by Torfaen's catering team each day. The inspection confirmed that our food preparation areas, storage systems and daily routines meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Progress Step 3 Extravaganza
Today’s Progress Step 3 end‑of‑year extravaganza at the Congress Theatre was, quite simply, a superb show. 'Y Swrcas Fach o Freuddwydion Mawr' (The Little Circus of Big Dreams) had a confidence, polish and sense of occasion that would have impressed any audience, and the children once again rose to the challenge of performing in a professional theatre with remarkable assurance. From the opening moments, it was clear that they understood the scale of what they were doing and were determined to give families a performance worthy of the venue.
The musical numbers were a highlight throughout. Songs from 'The Greatest Showman' were delivered with bold theatrical energy, the Dolly Parton item sparkled with personality, Soda Pop fizzed with enthusiasm, and Singing in the Rain brought a lovely touch of nostalgia with a twist! Each piece was shaped with care, and the pupils sang and danced with a confidence that showed just how far they have come.
Our children were focused, disciplined and visibly proud of what they had created together. Their teamwork, stage presence and commitment to the story lifted the whole production! It was a show that demonstrated their talent, their resilience and the joy they find in performing!

New Classroom Blinds
As you walk around the building you might notice that we've had new blinds fitted in each classroom. We are looking at lots of different measures to help control the heat in the classrooms. This is one of our measures - the blinds might look normal but they have a special backing to stop sunlight and heat going into the classrooms. We know that this won't be the fix for this very hot weather and future similar weather - but we know that lots of small changes will make a big difference!

Healthy Snacks at Ysgol Panteg
As we look ahead to September, we are gently encouraging families to send in a simple, nutritional snack for morning break. Children spend a large part of their day with us, and the food they eat in school can make a real difference to their energy, focus and wellbeing. Fresh fruit and vegetables, small dairy items such as yogurt or cheese, and light carbohydrate snacks like oat cakes or rice cakes all work well. We kindly ask that chocolate, sweets, biscuits and crisps stay at home, as sugary snacks and drinks can have a noticeable impact on children’s thinking and readiness to learn. Please also remember that we are a nut‑free school. Our aim is simply to help every child feel steady, fuelled and ready for the morning ahead.

Laser Show Volunteering
We are once again looking to hold our annual laser show in October (17/10/2026). In order to successfully and safely run this event, we need the support of our wonderful volunteers. If you are able to spare a few hours, please sign up using the link below. All volunteers will get a free ticket to the laser show as a 'thank you' for your support.
The roles we need filling are as follows:
Set up - helping us to set up the event, including moving tables, setting up signs and PTA stalls.
Ticket check in - working in pairs there will be 4 ticket check in stations where you scan the QR code and issue wristbands
Walk around - we are looking for people to guide visitors to their allocated areas
Selling light up items - you will be located in the plaza as people arrive selling the light up accessories.
PTA refreshment stall - located near the yard you will be selling hot and cold drinks
Pack down - helping to put everything away at the end of the event including tables, stock etc. and ensuring the school is left tidy.
As before we will have Comet Security and St John’s Ambulance in attendance.
