Any concerns regarding the Head Teacher should be reported to the Chair of Governors.
While we will endeavour to discuss any concerns with parents/guardians about their children, there may be exceptional circumstances when the school will discuss concerns with Social Care and/or the Police without parental knowledge (in accordance with Child Protection procedures). The school will, of course, always aim to maintain a positive relationship with all parents/guardians.
Any concerns raised will be treated sensitively but, as noted above, we cannot guarantee confidentiality in circumstances where we have to share information with colleagues within the school or in other agencies.
Our safeguarding policy and procedures have been developed in response to Welsh Government guidance on Keeping Learners Safe. You can find a short version of this guidance below along with links to additional guidance from key organisations, and our Safeguarding Policy can be found in the Policies section of our website.
Below you will find information on a range of initiatives that Ysgol Panteg are a part of to ensure that all our pupils are safe, both at school and at home.
To support you with any Safeguarding concerns you may have, further information has been provided in the form of documents and useful websites.
